Privacy Policy — hermes App

1. Introduction

hermes App ("the App") is a content-publishing assistant that lets users who own a Facebook Page and/or an Instagram business account create, review, and publish posts to their own accounts. The App is operated by Sagor Al Amin, reachable at saagoorbd@gmail.com ("we", "us").

2. Information We Collect

When you connect your Facebook Page or Instagram business account to the App, we collect only the information needed to provide the service:

Account information you authorize: your Page name, Page ID, Instagram account ID, and related public profile details.
Content you create or upload through the App: text, images, videos, and scheduled post times you prepare.
Access tokens granted by Facebook/Instagram, used solely to publish content on your behalf.
Basic technical logs (such as timestamps and error details) needed to keep the App working.

We do not collect sensitive personal data, and we never ask for your Facebook or Instagram password.

3. How We Use Information

To connect your accounts and show you your Pages and Instagram accounts.
To prepare, preview, and — only with your explicit approval — publish posts you create.
To maintain and troubleshoot the App.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the App's features.

4. Facebook & Instagram Permissions

When you authorize the App, Facebook/Instagram may list permissions such as pages_show_list, pages_manage_posts, instagram_basic, and instagram_content_publish. These permissions are used only for the features described. You can review or remove them anytime under Facebook Settings > Apps and websites.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal information with third parties, except:

With Facebook/Meta and Instagram, as required to deliver the posting features through their APIs.
With hosting/technical service providers that help operate the App (who are bound to keep data confidential).

We never sell or rent your information.

6. Storage and Security

Access tokens and content are stored on secured servers with restricted access. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.

7. Data Retention

We keep your data only as long as your account remains connected to the App or as needed to provide the service. You may disconnect the App at any time, after which tokens stop working. You may also request deletion of your stored data (see Section 8).

8. Your Rights and Choices

Revoke access at any time: Facebook Settings > Apps and websites > hermes App > Remove.
Request access, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing saagoorbd@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Disconnecting the App does not delete posts already published to your Pages/Instagram — those are controlled by you.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
